A selection from the most recent customised projects carried out by Kiwa.

• For the Belgian Association of Certified Soil Experts VEB, Kiwa has set up a standard that allows the sector to increase the quality assurance, based on a code of ethics and supported by a quality charter and external audits. Kiwa has created the standard in collaboration with VEB, paying specific attention to ethical behaviour, employees' competence, and knowledge of technology and legislation. Kiwa has also devised a toolbox that allows members of the VEB to efficiently implement the new standard.
• For Deceuninck we created 2 standards that not only provide criteria for the production of PVC elements such as window and door frames, but also for installing them. This has boosted the quality enormously. Due to its success and the social implications they have (reduced energy consumption due to properly insulated windows), the standards are currently being rolled out to other system suppliers (competitors of Deceuninck).
•  We have assisted Federauto Carrosserie in converting the complex framework directive 2007/46/EC into a specific and useful standard that allows the bodyworks industry to rapidly evolve towards a quality assurance system that not only guarantees that European law is complied with, but especially also that on-going improvement is realised.
•  For the auto repair industry we have developed 2 labels: Kiwa Light and Kiwa Pro, which allows the industry to test itself on compliance with state of the art requirements that insurers and consumer organisations nowadays stipulate. The labels are widely recognised and supported. They are based on a number of obligatory and scoring questions, that require a score of at least 60%. In addition the possibility is offered to prepare digital reports, allowing auto repair shops to compare themselves with their competitors and immediately identify specific opportunities for improvement.
