2009-12-30 Kiwa issues First Solar Keymark!

In July this year, Kiwa Netherlands has received the notification as Certification Body and test lab in order to test AND certify solar equipment according to the Solar Keymark.
The Solar Keymark is a pan European approval mark for Solar thermal collectors and systems that create hot water by means of solar energy.
Until July, Kiwa was already an accredited test lab and also certifier according to the Dutch “Zonnekeur” approval.

The Solar Keymark approval is required by most of the national authorities in order to receive funding when investing in this relatively cost intensive equipment.

Early August, Kiwa has proudly issued their first Solar Keymark certificate to Bongioanni, a major Italian manufacturer of heating and hot water appliances, including Solar energy.
Kiwa is, amongst others, also grateful to the company Vaillant, who went through a pilot project that enabled us to receive the notification!

The Bongioanni project was also a good example of great teamwork between Kiwa Italy and Kiwa the Netherlands! Despite some technical challenges, both country teams have shown that good teamwork and flexible attitude can lead to a happy and satisfied client!

At the moment Kiwa has received quite some applications for Solar Keymark, for testing as well as for certification!

As Kiwa has also invested in extension their facilities, we can still commence new projects this year!
