Asbestos removal
The Royal Decree of 28 March 2007, which was published in the Belgian Official Gazette of 26 April 2007, defines criteria that have to be fulfilled by a company that removes asbestos, if it wants to be certified by the Belgian governmental authority Werkgelegenheid, Arbeid en Sociaal Overleg (Employment Opportunities, Labour and Social Consultations). One of the obligatory criteria is obtaining a certificate, which shows that you are using state-of-the-art practices. Such state-of-the-art practices not only concern technical aspects of removing asbestos, but also, and perhaps even more importantly, respect for applicable Belgian legislation.
Besides the Belgian asbestos certificate, Kiwa is also able to provide the Dutch SC530 certificate through Dutch colleagues. This is highly effective for Dutch companies that want to become active in Belgium, because with Kiwa they are working with a real "one-stop shop". We can explain to you the differences between the Belgian and the Dutch legislation, which helps to clarify this highly complex subject matter.
