GMP
GMP means 'Good Manufacturing Practice'; it was created in the aftermath of the dioxin crisis in order to regulate the production and transport in the livestock feeding industry. Animal feeding stuffs (food) have a direct impact on the quality of animal feed (feed). It is consequently vital that the quality and safety of animal feeding stuff is guaranteed.
The GMP standard is controlled by Ovocom (see www.ovocom.be), and exists for the production, trade, and transport of animal feeding stuffs.
